Technical Architect, Building Engineer and MSc degree in Renewable Energies from Technical University of Cartagena (Spain). In 2019, I finished my PhD working on photovoltaic (PV) systems integrated into buildings (BIPV). I carried out research stays at Solliance-ECN (the Netherlands) and the Joint Research Centre (European Commission, Italy). I was part of research projects Quantum Energy (F. Séneca-CARM, Spain) and Nano-GraPerOs (MINECO, Spain), and I also participated in the European network COST-Action MP1307 “StableNextSol”.
In July 2022, I finished my first postdoctoral stay (funding by Fundación Séneca – CARM, Spain) at the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA) working on agrivoltaic systems (PV systems integrated in agricultural land or infrastructures) in greenhouse applications.
Currently, I am working on a new project (18/07/2022 – 17/07/2024) in the same field through a Margarita Salas fellowship at CEBAS-CSIC and Technical University of Cartagena. This new project, within the framework of the task force Enovoltaics,
aims to provide a detailed analysis of the effect of different configuration of PV systems and technologies on the microclimate, crop production, energy generation, water management and soil properties
I like to apply PV design solutions to solve problems in different integrated applications such as BIPV and agrivoltaics. The optimization of PV systems taking into consideration both technical (electrical performance, energy efficiency in buildings or crop response) and non-technical aspects (landscape conservation, the enhancement of ecosystem services and social impacts).
